Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Boil a large pot of salted water. Add pasta and cook for 8-10 minutes until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in heavy cream, simmer for 3-5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Reduce heat and whisk in grated parmesan cheese until melted, season with black pepper, and add reserved pasta water if needed.
  5. Add drained pasta to skillet and toss to coat. If using veggies, add them now to heat through.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parmesan and parsley if desired.
